Well now…. Friday brings with it a whole lotta wonderful in itself, but I want to amp it up a bit with a monthly share of some of the people I find inspire me to try new things.  What I love about social media, especially Pinterest and Instagram, is that you continually inspired by a vast and diverse group of people from around the world.

Today’s focus will be on something near and dear to my heart:  FOOD!!!!

There is a myriad of publications, fabulous blogs, astonishing Instagram accounts… but here are some in the yummaliciousness world that I love:

@GKstories

David and his lovely wife and Luise Vindahl’s account is vegetarian based which is fabulous as I am not a vegetarian, but am trying to seek out new and delicious meat-free dishes and desperately in need  of guidance!  Scroll through his account…. deliciousness abounds ( plus I love the fact that family member are peppered throughout to keep it real and personal!).

You can also check out their cookbook The Green Kitchen on Amazon.

On these cold/cool eves, how yummy does this Polenta look with mushrooms, artichoke and goat’s cheese.  * Sigh*

Many of you know I am a sucker for salads….love them and so when I saw this broccoli ‘slaw…game over!  With a yogurt dressing,raisins, juicy pomegranate and sunflower seeds you just know there’s a whole lot of healthy deliciousness happening here.

Just when I though I was a soup afficianado ( sometime of my recipes taking 2+ days to make), I came across this sweet potato, red lentil and ginger soup.   Sheesh….. Just look at it!   (Clearly on my ‘next up list!)

@windycitydinnerfairy

@Windycitydinnerfairy, with her Instagram and her website show a great array of recipes for your consideration and enjoyment

Nicole has a beautiful sense of cuisine, and hailing from Chicago (one of my many favourite cities renown for it’s culinary delights) has a sweet spot in my heart  ( …ok…and also in my belly!)

I simply love this twist on one of my big gathering appetizers: bruschetta. The added element of pesto just takes up this classic favourite a notch or two… gorgeous deliciousness!

Oh and can we talk risotto please?   How gorgeous is this red pepper risotto?   I love the creaminess and smooth blend of flavours of risotto and this is a gem.  Bonus here is for those of you who are InstantPot fans…check out the recipe!

And if you are a lover of parfaits, this maple chia parfait if for you!   Who says it has to be just for breakfast??…. heck, I’d have this ANY time!

@DianeMorrisey on IG

Now what I love about Diane’s Instagram account is that not only is her gallery stunning with recipes, but her stories have that comfortable ‘cooking with a girlfriend’ vibe about it.  It’s all great food, but you feel you are right there with her making it.

I am a lover of all things pasta and this tuttorosso tomatoes rigatoni pasta recipe with ricotta I will try on my next pasta night…..

And what could be a more classic comfort food than Shepherds pie?   Just look at it!…. it looks sublime.

Being a smidge crazy busy most days ( …ok perhaps a bit ‘over scheduled’), I love this one pan dinner.    Salmon and a whole lotta veg….that’s goodness overload!

@SugarGeekshow

I have to say I have a huge admiration for bakers.   I love cooking… but baking has never been my thing.  Don’t get me wrong, I’ll get right in there at Christmas time with all the cookies ( check MY insta as I attempt baking ).   I simply love…love…love that hit of sweet goodness with a cup of excellent coffee, but truth be told it’s a bit of a mission for me.

This is why I love Lizzo’s feed.  The images are eye candy on many levels and the videos are amazing and inspiring.

Her feed is colourful, personal, informative with the videos…

And can we say… I simply LOVE her sense of humour for Thanksgiving (#overthetop!!).  I can’t lie, her ‘twerky cake’ has me giggling every time I see it!

Lizzo’s pink champagne cake is touted for New Year’s Eve, but I think how perfect it would be for a bridal shower, baby shower or Mother’s Day brunch.

@thegirlonbloor

Okkkkkayyyy….so as a Toronto resident, I do have to give a shout out to an astonishing local young talent.  I simply love Taylor’s fresh,upbeat vibe about food.  Not only that there is a focus on healthy recipes, but consideration of ease and time saving through slow cooking and Instant Pot recipes to assist with your busy lifestyle.

Check out this stunning sashimi tuna salad with carrot ginger dressing ….not only is it exquisite, but absolutely slams down all preconceived notions that salads are not satisfying.

And when you need a new twist on pizza ( because who on earth doesn’t enjoy/love pizza?), this fabulous rendition with brussel sprouts  ( YES!…and t’is a super food) is a gorgeous twist to an old favourite.

Oh my….. just looking at these images incent me to get in the kitchen and start a healthy dinner for tonight.   Clearly, there is a virtual plethora of inspiration on each of these accounts, so I encourage you to grab a cup of coffee ( or glass of wine 😉  ) and peruse and savour each account in it’s entirety.  Sooooo much goodness!

And in the spirit of sharing, if you have any thought on the above or have other fabulous foodie Instagram or Pinterest accounts you want to share, please do so in the comments section.

Happy browsing…and bon appetit!
